I am certain that many people wish you a Happy Birthday. We wish that we could see you. You were by your husband’s side for many years as he tended to the needs of the Church and we know that you were a part of his success. You were with him through thick and thin, through the all the trials that the church went through and at the same time, raising a family. In you, is fulfilled the Scriptures:
Who can find a virtuous and capable wife?
She is more precious than rubies.
Her husband can trust her,
and she will greatly enrich his life.
She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.
Reward her for all she has done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.
Proverbs 31:1-3, 31
It is unfortunate that things have to be the way they are right now but we still pray that things will turn out well in the end. One of the things that your husband instilled in us is hope. We hope for a good future; We pray for it. And we believe it.
In the meantime, we are hoping that you are well and are being well taken cared of. Even Jesus, whilst suffering immensely on the cross, almost at the point of his death, remembered his own mother so that someone would take care of her:
“Standing near the cross were Jesus’ mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary (the wife of Clopas), and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw his mother standing there beside the disciple he loved, he said to her, “Dear woman, here is your son.” And he said to this disciple, “Here is your mother.” And from then on this disciple took her into his home.” John 19:25-27
May our God even bless those who are taking care of you.
“There are those who curse their fathers, and do not honor their mothers.” Proverbs 30:11
If there are those who may have neglected you, we pray for them as well. May their eyes be opened and their hearts be softened. The Church prays for the leader to be endowed with wisdom. I do too. I honestly pray that the current leader may receive wisdom that will let him see what he needs to do properly. May he be wise enough to understand whom he should listen to. I pray that it is not too late for him.
Most of all, the true Christians will always pray for you. We pray that our God will always be there for you; May He always be there to defend you from the evils of this world. May He always provide you the strength and endurance to bear the trials of life; may He always comfort you in the saddest of moments and lift you up when a single tear drops from your eye.
