Well, here we are in October. Also known as the month of the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s (Church of Christ) Beloved Leader’s Birthday. The 31st as a matter of fact. So I assumed almost (if not all) the Worship Service lessons would be about him.
I had a couple of thoughts that were running through my head, so I thought I would share some of them with you.
“Children, it is your Christian duty to obey your parents, for this is the right thing to do. “Respect your father and mother” is the first commandment that has a promise added.” Ephesians 6:1-2
I thought the mid-week worship service lesson was interesting; it was about how children should obey and respect their parents. Could it be, that the Beloved one is really teaching about loving and obeying our parents? Finally! I thought.
I wondered if our Beloved Leader of the Church of Christ ever thought about his own mother while this was being taught.
But then at the last part, I understood why this was being taught, it was that the Beloved One wanted to justify that you only obey and respect your parents IF THEY ARE MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH OF CHRIST. So the message? If they are not INC members, DISRESPECT them all you want. Where does it say that in the Bible?
Is this why he actually got Brother Pellien to say that Sister Tenny Manalo is a “BIG, FAT LIAR” on YouTube? And they said this is to “PROVE”(?) that the Beloved EVM “LOVES” his mother???!
That’s how EVM proves his love and respect??
So what happens if one does NOT RESPECT the parents? NO promise added.
Now you know why all these things are happening to you know who.
Do not quench the Spirit. 1 Thessalonians 5:19
Aside from the Plain English Text Translation, where can you find that verse “do not EXTINGUISH the fire of the Holy Spirit?” Does the Holy Spirit actually HAVE fire? Can it actually be extinguished? I’ve seen verses where GOD is a consuming fire; the Holy Spirit appeared “as tongues of fire”; there is the baptism with the Holy Spirit AND fire. But where does it say that the Holy Spirit HAS FIRE and that fire CAN BE EXTINGUISHED. Is that from the original Hebrew text?
So if we put out that fire OF the Holy Spirit, are we then “Fire Extinguishers”?
So our theme for the year… “Don’t be Fire Extinguishers brethren!”
“He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings utter darkness into the light.” Job 12:22
Anyone seen SCAN officers in your locale lately? They quietly disappeared at the gates and in the parking lots haven’t they?
Does this have anything to do with those SCAN members who were connected to some grisly murder in the Philippines? Hmm, that “Death Squad” rumour is starting to sound more plausible.
“Everything must be done in a proper and orderly way”. 1 Corinthians 14:40
It’s funny that the Beloved One’s Pastoral Visit was supposed to be this great event since it is the 50th Anniversary of the Church in the West sort of went out like a whimper.
First there was the Hawaiian fiasco of dedicating the half finished Ewa Beach chapel, which, up to now, is still unusable. Then there was the half filled Golden1 Arena in Oakland wherein the Beloved exited right away.
This was followed by a “RE-dedication” of the Oxnard chapel, which should not needed a “re-dedication” if the chapel was maintained in the first place. But since there was no money for repairs, it fell in disarray until the Administration had to take drastic measures to get it done because the brethren were worshiping in the function hall for months on end.
There was the Henderson Nevada dedication. That was a fun one wasn’t it? The San Pedro brothers had to come down along with District Minister Inocencio to “campaign” the brethren to FINISH the chapel before the day of the dedication. Meaning, that very week, brethren had to scamper along and purchase everything necessary out of their own pockets.
I mean, if everything was done properly in the first place, this should have been an orderly and peaceful gathering where the brethren would just calmly wait for the Beloved one, instead of the brethren scurrying about like cockroaches when the light goes on.
After California and Nevada, things sure went very quiet didn’t it? All of a sudden, the Beloved Leader and his mighty Airbus disappeared off the radar. We heard of the Auditor officiating in Texas and Florida; Wailing Matt did the North Carolina dedication; but the Beloved? Did a meeting with Ministers, visited his Ghost Town in Connecticut, also known as the future EVMLand. That was it! Oh yes, there’s one Ontario visit. Then he ran off to Canada. A bit odd considering he was in America for almost 3 months.
Now, it’s off to Japan. (Again)
