Creating Fanaticism

Fanaticism is a belief or behavior involving uncritical zeal or with an obsessive enthusiasm. Philosopher George Santayana defines fanaticism as “redoubling your effort when you have forgotten your aim”. The fanatic displays very strict standards and little tolerance for contrary ideas or opinions.”

Watching the endless activities being promoted by the Church of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo) these days is not only  exhausting, it is downright frightening. It is merely exhausting because the Church Council is doing their best (or their worst – depending on your viewpoint) to distract the brethren from looking too deep into their shenanigans and “extra ecclesiastical” activities – the multiple trips to Japan, the ‘secret’ investments (petrol, anyone?), and the world-wide manhunt by means of litigations, illegal hacking and spying methods.

But I say that the activities are also FRIGHTENING not merely because of the spying or hacking but because of what the Council is creating. The incessant push to promote The Administrator as THE ONE we must follow without question, the campaign to be fully Loyal to him and to really LOVE him.

These things we had for the late Executive Minister, Brother Eraño Manalo simply because of the time that passed, because of his labours and we could truly feel how he cared for us. It was not shoved down our throat; it was not pushed into our brains; and it was certainly not campaigned in almost every Worship Service.

I mean,  it has become quite ludicrous. There is no need for me to write all the things that you have never heard of, but simply what you will notice in the Worship Services and in the locale. Go see for yourself:

The constant mention of “Administration” in sermons; that “it is what the Administrations wants for us”, or “the goal for the Administration for us is…”, and “That is why the Administration continues to exhort us…”

There is the push for activities to “remember” our present leader. How can we forget, it’s mentioned EVERY Worship Service!

The incessant mention of how much the Administration “loves” us. Really? In the last 7 years, I have heard more people being expelled; more Ministers shipped in and out of the Locales /Districts/Country than previous times; and there are the innumerable affidavits that brethren have been pushed to sign. Oh, and don’t forget to provide the following:

  1. Blood Type
  2. Social Media Accounts
  3. Fingerprint
  4. Affidavit stating you are not being forced to sign it
  5. And of course, there is the “Affirmation of Faith” that we are pressured to sign.

Yeah… we surely FEEL HIS LOVE.

And then, there are the SONGS of Allegiance. Oh gosh, you can look these up on Youtube. But if you can’t here are some screen shots.  Better yet, let me make this a guessing game. Look at the pictures below and try not to get confused which is for KIM JUNG UN or EVM.

Confused? How about these?

Are they the same? Let’s make it easier…

Was there ever a song about the previous Administrator? Yes. One. Written by his daughter and it does not even mention him. It is simply a beautiful song about the “Beacon of our Heart who REMINDS US to put your faith in THE LORD“. Beautiful. Not about how we need to submit and obey THE EVM.

Why am I making a big deal about these? Because this is exactly how Dictators push their power – behold –

Totalitarian cults of personality are aimed at creating a sense of dependence on the leader. He is the protector, the “helmsman” (as Mao liked to be called) who takes care of the helpless…
[North Korea’s] government rigidly defines social norms and portrays the leader as a protective father who keeps the nation safe and is
deserving of total obedience in return. The message is inculcated through absolute control over the school curriculum and the media. Bad things have happened to North Koreans who refused the cult of personality around Kim Jong Il.”

from The Power of Brainwashing in North Korea By Thomas Lifson/ Source: American Thinker

A new age has dawned on all of us; an age of remarkable technology… We know intimately many of the ways the brain functions; how to shape it, recondition it, influence it, reinforce response mechanisms for a desirable outcome.”

“This knowledge is immediately recognized and utilized in advertising… This knowledge is also used by the media for publicizing public figuresThey choose the camera angles, edit the script, package the figure they wish to promote or invalidate.  This knowledge owes much of its groundwork to a team of scientists brought to the United States from Hitler’s Nazi Germany…”
– The CIA’s Secret Agreement with Third Reich Scientists

Sound familiar?

So tell me again, that what we are witnessing are not designed to create Fanaticism.

A couple more steps and the brethren will be at the level of Islamic extremism. NO? Think about it. How do the Muslims react the moment their Prophet Mohammed is insulted?

Now how do the “I am One with EVM’ers” react when the beloved Administrator is insulted?

So let me go back to my first sentence; this is indeed frightening. If you will allow yourself and your children to give in to this mind control, then truly, you, my friend, have become a FANATIC.

This is what the Lord says:

Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord. That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes. They will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. Jeremiah 17:4-5

  1. This is what I keep telling my friends about the church nowadays: our situation is no longer different from that of NoKor.

Our fanaticism is also no longer different from that of the ISIS. The only difference we had from them is the ISIS have guns.

  2. Bro/Sis, your voice is a familiar one to me. If it is because I know you personally, or just because so many of us members here in the states feel the same way, I do not know. For some time I thought that maybe I was loosing my sanity. I thought maybe there was something to this that I am not comprehending. Why is it that even some of the most rational ministers I know are in full support of these events that rob us of the holy spirit? I thought maybe this is God’s way of revealing a false church, the same church that I had faith in from the beginning and was offered in. It is voices like yours, and that of AE from INCSILENTNOMORE that give me hope. Please don’t tire in this work, we need a voice, we need to know there are others out there like us. God bless.
