1 John 2:4

I don’t even have to read Facebook today. I know what is everyone going to say and what everyone’s reaction will be; it is about the EVM video playback this past weekend. Another “special” Worship Service officiated by the “most important man in the world” which ran well over an hour.  One hour and twenty minutes! For a basic doctrinal lesson about the importance of the Church?!? Oh wait, come to think about it, that is always the lesson these days, but I’ll get to that later. Let’s start off on a more lighter note shall we? And then we can discuss about how the more serious matters later.

I guess the Ministers realised that if you give brethren a choice whether to attend a regular live Worship Service or a video re-run of the Executive Minister, most brethren will go with the live service, leaving the EVM special services half empty, forcing the Ministers to seat the brethren  further apart so it does not look so bad. So what do they do? They make EVERY Worship Service a video re-run. Thus, no one is spared from EVM. It’s important to tell the truth, isn’t it?

If some of you did not notice (probably because you do not bother to look at the TV screens), we first have the singing of hymns in Tagalog, but we do get the English translations on screen, as well as the little box in the corner with a sign language interpreter. Ok, good. Wait, what? Let me think about this again. You have the Tagalog… the English… and sign language… Anyone got it yet? Why would you need a sign language interpreter when there is already SUBTITLES in 2 languages? Are you saying the DEAF CAN’T READ as well? My mind is just boggled at the decision making these days.

Anyway, on to the sermon… the main topic, as I said is about being members of the Church (surprise). One of the main verses Administrator dwelled on was 1 John 2:4, which says “Someone may say, “I am a Christian; I am on my way to heaven; I belong to Christ.” But if he doesn’t do what Christ tells him to, he is a liar.”

What an ironic verse to use. They can say all they want but this verse says it all but that verse applies to them as well does it not? So let’s think about this carefully. It is true that anyone can say I am a Christian. But if they are not following the commands, they are liars and they will be punished. The lesson was then connected to about having no corruption in the Church, about those expelled and how much “Brother” Eduardo Manalo loves the members of the Church of Christ, which is why he expelled his family – choosing the Church over them.

Allow me to go to the corruption first; he said “where’s the proof of the corruption?” Excuse me, LOOK TO YOUR RIGHT! Your reader (Matt Pareja), is the one who is unable to re-visit America because he was busted by the Federal agents for carrying a large amount of cash. Isn’t it why the US Main Office had to fabricate a story that Mr. Pareja did not preach, did not hold any meetings but just “observed”? TELL US THIS IS A LIE. TELL US THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. PROVE IT. I would like to see in the next Pastoral Visit for Brother Matt to be your reader. Difficult isn’t it? Isn’t money laundering against the law? Isn’t breaking the law against God’s teachings? Are those Christian actions? And how about those in the US Main Office who willingly LIED to the Government officials? Isn’t that also a CRIME? Isn’t this the reason that the Church is under surveillance? NO? Then why was there silence about the Election? The Administration knows full well that any hint of involvement or interference regarding who to vote for would spell more trouble. So what is the result? Brethren DID NOT VOTE IN UNITY. Trump or Clinton, the Administration was SILENT. One of the most important and polarising elections in American history and the Church leaders were quiet. What happened to the all that fiery sermons we had for the Philippine election about voting as one? What happened to the impending doom that if we didn’t vote as one that the ground would swell up and swallow up those who did not unite? Then you preach that there is no corruption? (see post on Elections and Elections 2)

I apologise if I got carried away there for a moment. This just makes me boil. Let’s think about this again. I believe some have already mentioned about Brother Eraño’s lecture which is on YouTube, about his anger regarding the corruption within the Church. Even then he knew there were Ministers who were falling to corruption. There were those who were “on the take”; those who accepted bribes from brethren with cases; from government officials; from all kinds of temptations and sins. Now all of a sudden there is NONE?!? ZERO? All of them clean and pure as newborn infants? Amazing.

Let me deviate for a moment. Did anyone notice how ka Matt Pareja kept answering with “Opo, Sir”? Apparently they just continue to disregard Brother Eraño’s instruction about the use of “SIR” (see last week’s post: Lord EVM)

I suppose the guy behind EVM (literally and figuratively speaking) is also Not corrupt? I am talking about The Auditor himself. The Auditor who never really audits but is busy running all kinds of money making schemes, he is so in deep with the cronies that he pulled out JA HOON KU, the Korean contractor wanted by the South Korean government for embezzlement and yet the Auditor took him into hiding just like that, because he has his filthy hands in various shadowy corners of the government. He has so many schemes like selling merchandise to brethren (in the name of the Church and FYM). From t-shirts, to bottled water, to real estate, to petrol, to concerts – he and his sons run the schemes across the board. Proof? Boy that is an entirely separate article on its own isn’t it? We’ll be here all day talking about his actions. But here is a sampling.

NO CORRUPTION? Oh my, brother. These are just the topping. How much more underneath the layers?

Let’s just go to the Man himself, the Administrator. Remember, the topic is 1 John 2:4. “…if he doesn’t do what Christ tells him to, he is a liar.”

So what is one of the things Christ tells us? Read Matthew 15:3-6 Living Bible

“He replied, “And why do your traditions violate the direct commandments of God? For instance, God’s law is ‘Honor your father and mother; anyone who reviles his parents must die.’ But you say, ‘Even if your parents are in need, you may give their support money to the church instead.’ And so, by your man-made rule, you nullify the direct command of God to honor and care for your parents. “

Or Matthew 23:13-14

“Woe to you, Pharisees, and you other religious leaders. Hypocrites! For you won’t let others enter the Kingdom of Heaven and won’t go in yourselves. And you pretend to be holy, with all your long, public prayers in the streets, while you are evicting widows from their homes. Hypocrites!”

I’ll just ask these; is EVM following Christ? He said “what we follow are not my teachings but teachings from the Bible”. True. Some of the teachings, but are these not also from the Bible? There are other commandments aside from giving offerings and attending Worship Services right? But somehow all we ever hear these days is

  1. Worship, b. Offer and c. Submit

If we truly want to follow Christ, then let’s follow all His commands. You can’t just teach what you want. Follow the teachings about mothers and widows. There are MANY MORE. Teach those also!

This is getting too long. So let me just say this here. About lEVM’s LOVE for the Church? Sure . He would be believable if there really was an effort to communicate with those who were expelled. Why were his family members expelled? We keep getting the same line about how much EVM loves us more than his family who tried to cause division. Tell us then, what really caused all this? We have seen videos of the siblings making the effort to see the Administrator. Where is his side of the story?

If there is even love in his heart then why did he allow such hateful pictures of his own mother to be posted and shared by Ministers and brethren?

Screen Shot 2016-02-05 at 4.09.03 PM

Don’t say that he did not sanction all these. ONE WITH EVM right?

I wish I could just keep writing in greater detail about the sordid activities happening. It just makes my blood boil when I hear such words that come out of EVM while his siblings and his mother stay silent.

I know many grow even angrier upon hearing such lies. But we have to keep in mind to hold on to the truth, and not give in to all the lies that are now streaming in. God help us all.

“For the sins of their mouths, for the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride. For the curses and lies they utter, consume them in your wrath, consume them till they are no more.” Psalms 59:12-13

  1. Yeah, this freakshow of EVM was just a “special” worship service back then. But because his lapdogs realized that some brethren always intended to skip this one, they decided to make this THE worship service itself. Smart move, so that no one can escape the eyes of EVM.

Iglesia ni EVM? Iglesia ni OWE? Iglesia ni Kim Jong Manalo? Iglesia ng North Korea? You bet!

Whenever “the most important man on earth” officiates, it is really common for him to bring his family to shame, not bothering if the brethren laugh or get angry at them. And yet he is the role model for every member of the church? The nicest guy on earth? The most holy man? Oh please.

And then the “corruption” thing. I don’t know what’s going on in EVM’s mind. “Walang pruweba?” “Walang ebidensiya?” Yet he knows of the rants of his “enemies?” His penchant of cherry-picking their rants, leaving behind the “why.”

A lot of people already know of their atrocities, EVM, his goons and the OWEs are just fooling themselves.

  2. Thank you for taking the words out of my mouth. I’ve been telling my family how Webex re-runs didn’t use to replace “live” worship services but since EVMs ego is so huge, he is so envious of bro. EGM.
Ka. Erdy didn’t even announce when & where he will be officiating & yet brethren flocks & fill houses of worship inside & out. With EVM they announce it over & over basically forcing the brethren to attend yet “nilalangaw” ang services.
Another thing that does not make any sense (at least here in the east-coast) is each time there is a re-run webex lesson, – if WS is normally at 9am they will start 15mins earlier as if it was a live feed and they cannot adjust its timing to begin at 9am, causing many brethren to walk in late.

  3. Thanks for another great post!

Please keep this coming as I keep sharing them as well to those that are still unaware.

This is where I do my real missionary works and pretends that I am a very loyal OWE member.

EVM pay per view worship service really sucks as this is not a worship service at all.

Our webex feed in here California got cut-off before the benediction part close to the end of that service. We just stood there looking stupid and no one says “Amen”. Then the minister just told us to just seat down – WTF? So what did you make of this? – a real worship service? EVM says “No evidence” and yet he himself do not provide an evidence to put all this to rest so I guess we will just have to wait till judgement day and take his word for it.

Ya I will lift my middle finger to him as a sign of continued loyalty pledge.

  4. I came across one of your earlier articles dated Feb. 5, 2016 where you wrote “… THE INFALLIBILITY OF EVM (PART I) As some of you may be assuming, based on the title, that this article is written to attack the present Executive Minister. IT IS NOT. I believe he is the one appointed by God. But this is simply a commentary of how every Minister, from the Council to all the “loyal followers” are treating Brother EVM. …”
I’m just wondering if this is still your position because in my case, I have been harboring doubts and made two comments showing a glimpse of my evolving (but not necessarily correct) ideas on the issue re Lord EVM and his “kahalalan”:
    (1) Email sent to AE on April 18, 2016:
Just a thought. Unless God will be sending the last Elijah soon, and following the advice “God helps those who help themselves” and “Sa Diyos ang awa, sa tao ang gawa”, I’m just wondering if the INC defenders could seriously look into the feasibility of establishing an interim church (e.g. based outside the Philippines) whose main purpose is to provide for a formal worship service to God but following all the doctrines and procedures taught by INC’s former executive ministers. While functioning like a parallel religious organization in contrast to the existing one, it can concentrate on serving God (and not just finding faults) while waiting for the time that the original church is cleansed (i.e. rid of the reported corruption) and restored to its former stature. I think of this because it appears that EVM may not have the ability to reform the church because he seems to be just coasting along as his administration clings to power since there will always be members, either by ignorance, by personal reasons, or sheer “fanaticism”(?), who will provide a sufficient base to support, at least the basic church services. (This reminds me of the documentary “Prophet’s Prey” which details the story of Warren Jeffs, the former head of The Fundamental Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints who is imprisoned for life for sexually assaulting children and yet still able to maintain control of the church from prison!) And if another analogy is used, i.e. the Marcos administration, unfortunately, INC members cannot hold a “people power” type of protest because, unlike a democratic government which has established mechanisms for change (such as regular elections or even recall), the church is deeply rooted on the concept of prophesied authority or “kahalalan”. Hence, unless someone proves himself to be God’s last Elijah and prescribe what has to be done, “expelled” INC members may have to resort to the use of man-made mechanisms such as those that can be adopted from governments and/or businesses – corporate structure & procedures, external auditors, “franchise-type” agreements, etc. to counter the perceived malpractices surrounding the status quo. But at least, while seemingly impossible to achieve, if there are credible interim leaders who can establish “interim” locales (operating like “franchises”?) which are preferably independent of but in close coordination with each other, perhaps they may be able to provide spiritual relief to those in need and at the same time, exert enough pressure for the “mother” church to undertake the critical reforms needed to restore the church to its pristine condition.
    For your consideration.

    (2) Comments unsuccessfully sent to Sophia Salem’s blog but shared with Kelly Ong on June 18, 2016:
One of the most important characteristics and main doctrines of the INC is “kahalalan” or authority from God especially of its leaders. We were taught and fully believed in the commissioning of Ka Felix and Ka Erdy which was never in doubt because of the genuine love and care that they consistently displayed in handling the affairs of the church. The enemies of our faith tried to malign the sugo and destroy this foundation of our faith and yet it stood the test of time. In fact, during our bible studies on church docrines, we were encouraged to ask questions because understanding and accepting Ka Felix as God’s last messenger is the key to our learning about the true words of God. It is but proper then that the present church administration clarify this issue of its “kahalalan” which I believe is the root cause of all the problems plaguing the church. If the INC defenders focus on this issue and the present church administration is able to convince all the brethren of its legitimacy, then all its subsequent actions can be more effectively explained in proper perspective. But if there is even the slightest flaw in Ka Eduardo’s assumption of the leadership of the church, correcting it should be the first order of business before other issues can be resolved. For the sake of the church which Ka Erdy lovingly reminded us will not be turned away anymore, let us pray to God that all the distractions we currently face will disappear as soon as possible so we can go back to our primary and most cherished aspiration in life, that is to serve God peacefully and in all spirituality.
